Corkscrew is a regional must.

The picture above may also be a reminder to May Day celebrations and rites which include maypole dancing and May Queen crowing. Bonfires, popular in Germany, is a pagan origin celebration during Walpurgis Night held on 30 April.  In this country it is called Witches’ Night.

Thank you for the cool post, Mr. Jan! Most people don't think about France when it comes to knives, except when the knife only has one blade and one corkscrew. 

It's surprising what a good corkscrew can cost.

Yes, Mr. Ken, as I grow older and live in a relative abundance, I find it nice to have a small collection of knives and have the possibility to choose knife suitable for the intended use or my immediate mood.

I have found it interesting, that Brotherhood of the Thiers Knife was able to survive with its simple knife design based on the ideas from their forefathers.
