Bevels to die for......& a big Thank You

Mr. Mark, how long did it take you to do that?

Short of using a CNC mill Mark I don't know how you did such a precise job on that long intersecting bevel. So how did you do it? Or are you going to have to kill me after you tell me?

I've never used my Bridgeport on a blade, but I always use it to mill the slot on hilts. I just don't make many knives with hilts that aren't custom orders, because mine are always through tangs, and pretty expensive. I have one on order to be finished in 7 weeks. Over $3k.

I grind everything free hand. I'm used to grinding swedges, which is what I think you're speaking of. The bevel on the front of the blade, right? Perfectly flat, uniform swedges stand out, because it's Way easier to just blend them in. 

Mr. Grepper, I never keep track of time. It's just a distraction from the objective. It's kind of tricky to start with a blade like that. The steel was pretty hard, and I took a Lot off, so that takes time. Might have been an hour or so.
