Knife edge and COVID-19 Coronavirus

The COVID-19 Coronavirus is a relatively large virus, 100 nanometers in diameter




a 100-nanometer edge scores 50 BESS, this is the apex diameter of the Gillette razor.

When your knife edge scores less than 50 BESS, its width at the very apex is less than the size of the single coronavirus.
When I realised that, I find it quite fascinating.

On our Australian blade forum someone suggested a new definition of sharp: “virus splitting edge”.
This pandemic effects mentality, and the “virus splitting edge” comes spot-on, superseding the "hair-splitting".

We are currently in the "stay at home" lockdown, but when allowed out, I intend to catch a couple of coronaviruses and bring them home to slice.
