Insane sharp by our customers
#1
Travis, New Zealand:
"Got the PT50B. And have already learned so much about my sharpening in this short time. Really opens your eyes on technique and stuff."

40 BESS is sharper than a standard razor.

Nathan, Australia:
"It's bloody addictive and quite a leveller on what you think is sharp. I'm chewing through the cord pretty quickly!"

Nathan who won our The Sharpest Knife Contest is getting popular on social media through his edge retention tests using the PT50B.
Watch the video to see his interesting technique of placing short blades in the fulcrum for accurate scores.

Apart from our industrial customers, it is for these enthusiasts we bring the testers to Australia and NZ, for the 2nd year - I've just realized that we haven't had a single warranty claim for this period.

I really enjoyed Nathan's video, thanks for posting this. I get similarly short-lived results with my edges in use (not with sharpening, unfortunately), and attributed it to leaving some sort of burr. If this is normal degradation, then my expectations are wrong.

Thanks to you and your customers for bringing this to us KG.  We've learned in a short period of time  that your corner of the world contains some really fine and skilled people. Once again, thanks to all!

IMHO, Nathan's method of using fulcrum is better than standard method. It can be used with larger knives, and for testing the tip sharpness.

My pleasure mate.
I see on your YouTube channel many knives sharper than razors under 50 BESS. Makes me smile to remember how we corresponded back-and-forth how to get you under 100.  Smile Makes me grin to remember how 3 years ago I struggled myself to get my knives simply arm shaving, to 150 BESS.  Big Grin

We'd have to say insane sharp by not just our customers but by our distributors as well! When we first began in this business we wondered if even a straight edge razor could be hand sharpened to the level of a DE razor blade. We never even considered that a knife could be. Now we have razors coming in at sub 20 levels and knives sharper than razor blades. Great job guys and thanks for showing us what is possible!
