Viel-- variable speed or slower speed?
#13

I am in a holding pattern. I purchased the variable speed motor from Penn State Industries. I have mounted the motor bracket in my Viel frame (as in the photos). The motor and control unit are at a local electric motor shop. The motor is having the shaft diameter reduced to half inch to match the Viel pulley, and maybe some removed from the armature. The control is getting a reversible switch. All this should be completed by next week.

At that point, I will attach the motor and rig up a way to hold the motor control on the Viel. I should be back in business. I will post more at that time.

Ken
you will find it easier to resize the viel pulley and leave the penn shaft the same.

i mounted my control box behind on alum. plate.......works good like that......for me

reversing switch........no
