Both Gerber and Fiskars make axes and claim "indestructible" handles. The handles are some sort of nylon/glass composite.

they tried 2 different types and yes, they do not break, but the bounce back from the target is 3 times what the wood is, meaning the rookie throws and if it hits on the handle, it bounces back pass the thrower........NOT GOOD.
i have gone thru. 2 more vendors and their stock is gone, the USA is buying up many, i have a new vendor hopefully this week that can supply, ColdSteel claims their handles will be back in stock in oct or nov along with 1 other.
