From 847 to 52 on the old Buck eh?  Extremely impressive Mr. TZ, especially considering you are sharpening freehand!  Very few members here post those low numbers regardless of the sharpening method.  Thanks for sharing!

I realize that yes, these are pretty low numbers,
and so will draw attention ....................

Rest assured that the sharpening has been documented extensively,
and that each number I quote is backed up by photographs
showing the knife, the test, and the method.

My suspicion is that I have good - but unpredictable - stropping skills.
