I certainly would not try it. It may say 1/5 hp, but more often than not those figures are not realistic. The pics and videos I saw don't look like the adaptation would go smoothly.
More importantly, the WS 3000 is $235. The motor you see powering 1x42 Viels in all kinds of threads on this forum is closer to half that price. You get much more torque plus variable speed.
