Honestly, I don't have a clue. Too many posts, too many threads and too many years. Try only to ask me about stuff within the last week or so.
That said, I don't know what a double sided burr is, but I may have speculated something like that years ago when I lacked the understanding of burrs that I have now. Umm, not saying that I really understand burrs now, but probably a bit better than I did years ago.
I've tried ceramic rods and didn't like it. The ones I have are too coarse. I have no doubt they will create burr. I don't like or use them. The rods that I have actually grind the edge, and there are much better ways to grind an edge then dragging a round rod against it.
