I might add one small request in the general conversation category: Several of us have been developing a cost effective method of converting the Viel belt grinder to variable speed. The project is nearly complete. The prototype is working. Plans are nearly completed. The latest version can easily be completed in a home shop by a person of average skill.
I hope 2018 will see the availability of this completed project.
