Thanks Mr. Jan. I’ll start using gf for BESS readings. Nice to know the proper way to state it.
I don’t generally see newtons used in the US. Maybe it is, but I don’t really deal with subjects where it might be. For the most part, to me newtons are Fig Newtons, which are a delicious and chewy fig paste filled cookie. Actually now they are just called Newtons but I still call them Fig Newtons as that is what I grew up with.

Maybe newtons might be a good way to represent the mastication force necessary to eat the tasty and chewy Newton pastries.
