EU-based Edge-On-Up equipment resellers - smurfs - 07-23-2019
Hi all,
I am looking to buy the PT50B tester plus consumables and would like to find out if there are any resellers based in the European Union.
If there are none I'd be grateful if one of the EU-based forum members could advise the appropriate EU TARIC code to be used in calculating import duties if I were to buy the tester via sharpeningsupplies.com

Hi Mike!
I do not remember which code they used to clear the PT50B. The easiest thing is if he contacts his country's customs authority. There is some percentage in duty and 25% in VAT to Sweden, but what the actual customs itself is, I will not remember. I do not come to my papers right now because I am in the southern part of the country a few weeks.

Ideally I would have liked to have a rough idea of the landed cost before ordering but it is not a deal breaker as I already have my mind set on getting the tester and will just have to deal with the duties and taxes when it arrives.

Well done smurfs! To be frank - we've heard several different accounting's of various forms of taxes (including tariffs) being applied to our instrumentation from the various EU countries. It will be good to learn what your experiences were.

My PT50B unexpectedly arrived today and needless to say I have used it several times already.
I thought I'd be waiting weeks so pleasantly surprised it only took 6/7 days in total. It often takes longer to get items shipped to Ireland from the UK! Anyway it seems I was being unduly concerned about duties/vat. Not sure if my delivery fell through cracks in the system or was under some minimum value threshold but the delivery arrived duty and vat free. Happy days!
