A friend and I were trying to detect the difference in weight between two full tang blades without handle material. One blade was larger, and convex. The smaller was flat ground, so there should have been an obvious difference. Holding them in hand, it was very hard to tell, so we weighed them.
One was 100 grams, the other was 70. Even in such an obvious case, 30 grams is practically imperceptible.
